There's another website out there that uses the same criteria as those listed below to evaluate the likelihood that we are getting very close to the time that the Rapture will take place -- or seem to be fairly well removed as yet from that event. Having looked it over, I was pretty unimpressed, because it seemed to be rather paranoid in many respects, rather than objective. And one of its categories was irrelevant. (I've included it in case you want to cross-compare with the other person's site, but it is color-coded in lavender -- for "irrelevant/bogus" -- below.) So this page that not only employs more objectivity, but also provides ratings that can be compared, whenever possible, to historical extremes one way or the other in the given category. Thus keeping things as closely as possible to being in a realistic perspective. One category was changed. From "Liberalism," which would have been irrelevant, to "Compassion," which is the same thing as social liberalism (egalitarianism), but in that context is very relevant. Enough to go from being lavender in the color coding, to green.
So will all of this really indicate whether or not the Rapture is right around the corner (as in, just days, weeks, or months away)? Who knows? If things suddenly start going wild on many fronts at once, maybe. Meanwhile, this could be an interesting thing to track. And I promise you to try to keep it as realistic as possible. (Needless to say, I'll have no time to update it with frequency or regularity, so just check it out from time to time for changes.) The higher the number given to a category, the higher the likelihood (in my opinion, in the context of both Bible prophecy and historical precedents vis-a-vis current severity) that it could align with the status that might be expected immediately before the Rapture. A zero indicates an evaluation of either no likelihood or a total lack of relevance -- and 5 is the highest rating that will be ascribed. Oh -- and keep in mind the fact that the Rapture could happen any time in the next eighty or more years! It may be far from imminent, at this point. None of us may live long enough to see it, if it's that far in the future.
Finally, worldwide conditions or situations ar considered when possible, but when impractical, or when comparison within the USA, Europe, or both is easier to evaluate, the latter will be used.

We're using basically the same scale that the website that inspired this page uses. It's all subjective, anyway. When Jesus chooses to trigger the Rapture, He can do that anytime, since all of the pre-conditions He set forth for it havs already taken place. Except for one very important one. The one where He told us that the indicators (earthquakes, etc.) would undergo a period of increasing intensification and frequency akin to a woman's undergoing labor pains ("birth pangs") that come closer and closer together. That seemed to be underway in 2005, but then the progression of increasingly-dramatic events suddenly broke off, and things returned to normal from then on. (Was God doing a dry run? Perhaps firing a warning shot across humanity's bow?)
If so, it's amazing how FEW people actually noticed it. Practically none! So it's not likely that very many people will even notice the actual imminency when the real deal does come along. And that is mind-boggling! Only that earlier "dry run" could have revealed the fact that almost everyone will be totally oblivious to the signs when the time actually comes. And I know of no way to remedy that situation before that process begins -- or even during it!) I really don't think the Rapture can occur, per prophecy, until we've seen that type of progression occur. That will probably be the last head's up we'll get, as a lead-up to the Main Event. And it's probable that hardly anyone will even be aware of it. As in, totally oblivious to it! No wonder the Bible says that this will come like a thief in the night, catching people unaware!! The accuracy of that prophecy was proven in advance by the lack of attention that was paid to the 2005 "dry run."

China historically and
in 2008. The 2004 Tsunami
resulted from undersea one.No recent cataclysmic ones in populous areas.
They will become significant only if they
start to increase in number and intensity.
And progressively closer together in time.1 Anti-Christian The Roman Empire
until ConstantineNo noteable instances of that in North America.
A significant problem in the Middle East.2 Beast Government Prophesied for End Times. Europe's pretty unified. But there's little
or no progress in that direction
for creation of a global government.1
REMINDER
The color-codings of the indicators above are interesting, but should not be regarded as predictors of imminence. Take the False Teachers, for example. They've been on the scene quite profoundly since Jerry Falwell organized the RRR Cult more than 30 years ago. Ever since 1978, this category has rated a "5."
Jesus said that the Rapture should come as no surprise to the people who were cognizant of the signs of the times as His admonishments and other biblical passages described. But that it would catch most people flat-footedly unawares.
So don't think that the color-coding needs to turn shades of red throughout before the Rapture hits. Keep these passages in mind at all times, to keep things in perspective:
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 (NIV) --
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Matthew 24:33 and 44 (NIV) --
Jesus said:
33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.
44 "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."The BEST bet for having a chance of being aware of actual imminence is for you to watch for, and recognize, the onset and initial progress of the "birth pangs" progression described here. It is the only indicator that still must occur before the Rapture can happen. But it may only be in progress for a short time, first, so the warning we get from it might be very brief! Keep Jesus' word, "begin," in the passage below, in mind.
